David Wilton, Gary Dunn, Jim Woods, Scott Kirkland and Martin Connor join as Sumo Grows.
19th October 2017. Sheffield, UK. Sumo Digital, a leading independent game developer, today announced the addition of five key appointments and expansion into new space at both Sheffield and Nottingham studios.
The quintet and their positions are: David Wilton, joining the main board as Group CFO reporting directly into Carl Cavers (CEO of Sumo Group);
At the Operating level Gary Dunn, joins as Portfolio Director; Jim Woods, Senior Development Director; Scott Kirkland, Development Director and Martin Connor, Studio Design Director.
Co-founder Paul Porter also now takes the title of Managing Director of Sumo Digital, to fit the role that he has been performing for some time. Paul said “Adding this level of expertise and experience further strengthens the team as we continue to grow and build our world class studios.”
Gary Dunn, joining as Portfolio Director said, “Having worked with Sumo for over a decade, it was an easy decision to join the team as it prepares for explosive growth across their studios in the UK and India.”
Gary previously lead development at Codemasters and SEGA where he managed the growth of Creative Assembly and Sports Interactive, and worked extensively with Sumo Digital as a development partner.
Both UK studios, in Nottingham and Sheffield, are expanding premises to house additional state of the art development facilities.
